The TRC Cases Inquiry’s main purpose is to establish whether attempts were made to prevent the investigation and prosecution of apartheid-era crimes.
The information and the truth are with those who have intimate knowledge and first-hand accounts of what happened, particularly those who were involved.
And while the TRC Cases Inquiry has the capabilities to investigate and do research on its own, it also relies on the evidence of whistleblowers and the contributions of legal representatives or victims and their families.
Whistleblowers
If you currently work for the National Prosecuting Authority or the South African Police Services, or worked for them in the past and have intimate knowledge or evidence related to any case or have details and information that may help the TRC Cases Inquiry in its work, we would like to hear from you. Simply indicate if you want to be a public, confidential or anonymous whistleblower and the TRC Cases Inquiry would then accord you the protections that come with your selection. We need your help and look forward to working with you to ensure justice for the victims and families who have been yearning for it.
